Pearl Jam's 50 Greatest Lyrics

No nosso fantástico forum encontrei um topic que me levou a uma página da web com um conteúdo muito engraçado... interpretações de excertos de muitas músicas dos Pearl Jam!
Há para todos os gostos, e dá para rir! =D

Aqui ficam algumas:

When he reached the shore of his clip-on world, he surfaced to the norm
Organizes his few things, his coat and keys
Any realizations would have to wait ultil he had more time, more time
A time to dream to himself
He waves goodbye to himself
"I'll see you on the ohter side"
Another man moved by sleight of hand
-"Sleight of Hand"

Simply Put: Corporate America is like a black hole, slowly sucking your will to live. Recent college grads, take note.
Interesting Sidenote: This song inspired me to quit my old job. I mean, there were other factors involved... but... yeah.

................................................................................

You're always saying that there's something wrong
I'm starting to believe it's your plan all along
-"Life Wasted"

Simply Put: Misery is a self-fulfilling prophecy.
Interesting Sidenote: This sounds like something my dad would've told me when I was 14, only much more eloquently put, and not followed by a beating.

..................................................................................

All the rusted signs we ignored throughout our lives
Choosing the shiny ones instead
I turned my back, now there's no turning back
-"Thumbing my Way"

Simply Put: The most attractive choices are not always the best.
Interesting Sidenote: Apparently girls have brains somewhere above their chests, and apparently tou should take those brains into consideration when picking a girls, least you end up with a hot retard. Who woulda thought?

.............................................................................

Some die just to live
-"Immortality"

Simply Put: Drugs are bad, mmmkay?
Interesting Sidenote: This song/ lyric is believed ti be about Kurt Cobain.

............................................................................

Do you see the way that tree bends? Does it inspire?
Leaning out to catch the sun's rays....A lesson to be applied.
-"Present Tense"

Makes much more sense to live in the present tense.
-"Present Tense"

Simply Put: These two need to be together, but the second quote says it all.
Interesting Sidenote: In the weeeks before I graduate college, all of my friends had lames quotes in theirs IM profiles, like "we'll never forget these times" (only much lamer). I had the chorus of this song: "Makes much more sense to live in the present tense". This was a completely coincidence, since I hadn't changed my IM profile in like 2 years. Anyway, some guy IM'ed me and said something like, "man, you've got the right attitude, we have to appreciate these last few weeks and we can't spend the time crying that college is over. It does make more sense to live in the present tense." Hmmm, yeah, that's exactly what I was going for.

..........................................................................

I know someday you'll have a beautiful life
I know you'll be a star in somebody else's sky
But why can't it be mine?
-"Black"

Simply Put: The most beautiful break-up line ever.
Interesting Sidenote: Do you know how much pussy Vedder must have gotten for this line alone? It's gotta be ridiculous.
